Job summary

Grassroot Institute of Hawaii is seeking a development intern to assist with donor research, prospect identification, and donor communications as part of our growing fundraising program.

You will work closely with the director of development on development strategy, donor stewardship, and event planning, contributing to grant research and donor correspondence while gaining hands-on nonprofit fundraising experience.

Qualifications

• Donor research, prospect identification, and donor communications skills are essential.
• Experience with fundraising, events, or donor stewardship is beneficial.
• Strong writing, research, and analytical abilities required.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct donor and prospect research on individuals, foundations, corporations, and other supporters.
• Assist with donor briefings, profiles, research reports, and development materials.
• Maintain accurate donor records and development files.
• Support with grant research, applications, and donor communications.
• Plan and execute fundraising events and donor meetings.
