• Evaluates patient function and assists in therapy plan of care.
• Treats patients to improve communication, swallowing and cognitive abilities.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to the supervising nurse/physician.
• Instructs patient, family and caregivers in speech therapy areas.
