Job summary

Muir Home Health in Benicia, CA is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to implement standards of care for OT services in a home health setting. You will collaborate with physicians and other clinicians to support the patient’s home health plan and improvement goals.

Qualifications

• Valid CA OT license.
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
• 2+ years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist.
• Must be a licensed driver with a vehicle in good working order.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient, caregiver, and family counseling.
• Provides patient and caregiver education.
• Communicates with the physician and care team regarding the home health plan of care.
• Evaluates patient’s functional status and home environment for hazards.
• Develops treatment program and goals for improved function.
• Teaches and retrains daily living activities and adaptive skills.
• Fabricates splints and instructs on adaptive equipment usage.
• Trains patient in prosthetic and/or orthotic device use.
