CSA School District in Brighton, MI is seeking a dedicated secondary History or Social Studies Teacher with Michigan teaching certification and endorsement. The role focuses on engaging students through an interdisciplinary model and fostering a love of learning.

The ideal candidate will create an inclusive classroom, develop rigorous lessons and assessments, and collaborate with colleagues to support the whole-child growth and academic success of all students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Studies Education, History, Political Science, or a related field.
• A master's degree is a plus.
• Valid Michigan secondary teaching certification/license with endorsement in the subject.

Responsibilities

• Encourage critical thinking and discussions around social studies topics, including history, culture, citizenship, and global issues.
• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and diverse learning styles.
• Develop assessments and monitor student performance through tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the overall mission of the institution.
