Qualifications

• CT School Counselor certification/eligibility required or in process.
• Master's degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling.
• Knowledge of evidence-based counseling program design, implementation, and evaluation including curriculum lessons, group and individual counseling, and planning/advising for all students.
• Active memberships in state and national counseling organizations.

Responsibilities

• Plans, delivers, and evaluates school counseling interventions to close achievement and opportunity gaps.
• Delivers academic success skills and career development activities to all students.
• Provides college access/affordability/admission guidance and social-emotional support.
• Collaborates with teachers, families, and community partners to promote student success.
• Maintains equity-focused planning and data-informed program assessments.
