Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Research Project Manager to oversee administrative and scientific implementation of complex research initiatives within the School of Nursing. You will manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and supervise exempt-level staff while coordinating multi-project priorities across investigators and partners.

Responsibilities include protocol development, SOP creation, data management, grant preparation, and dissemination activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Five years of related research experience.
• Demonstrated supervisory or lead responsibilities.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience per policy.
• Additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Partner with investigators and exercise independent judgement in managing research conducted for the PI.
• Participate in scientific discussions with collaborators, PIs, and funders.
• Collaborate with PI on protocol development and study design.
• Develop or oversee SOPs and data collection forms from protocol.
• Train and oversee research data management and regulatory compliance issues.
• Develop or oversee study budgets and ensure all costs are included.
• Responsible for finance-related issues.
• Oversee development of manuals, questionnaires, and coding structures for data collection.
• Oversee data collection and validation; ensure data quality.
