Job summary

Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Research Clinical Manager to oversee the administrative and scientific implementation of complex clinical protocols. You will supervise exempt-level staff, develop SOPs, and ensure regulatory compliance across one or more studies at Johns Hopkins’ School of Medicine Campus.

You will collaborate with investigators to ensure operational feasibility, manage budgets, and coordinate data collection, regulatory submissions, and study milestones across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
• Five years of related clinical research experience in academics, government, or industry.
• Demonstrated supervisory or lead responsibilities.
• Master's degree and professional certification preferred; other education may substitute per policy.

Responsibilities

• Manage administrative and scientific implementation of clinical protocols across one or more studies.
• Collaborate with investigators to ensure operational feasibility of study designs.
• Develop or oversee SOPs and data collection forms from protocols; oversee consent form development for trials.
• Oversee IRB submissions and handle regulatory compliance as liaison for the PI.
• Train and supervise exempt-level research staff; coordinate with multiple sites and assure QA.
• Develop budgets in collaboration with the finance team and track study costs.
• Ensure data integrity, timely data entry, and documentation across databases.
• Monitor milestones for clinical research and support publications and presentations.
