Qualifications include an associate degree, or two years of college, or passing the ParaPro exam. You will communicate with students and staff, assist with clerical duties, supervise areas, and help with lesson materials

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with student and staff members.
• Aid teacher in clerical duties and record keeping.
• Prepare classroom for school and distribute lesson materials.
• Instruct students under teacher supervision.
• Keep classroom neat and orderly.
• Assist with bulletin boards and classroom setup.
• Supervise cafeteria, playground, etc., under teacher supervision.
• Assist with student records and copying tasks.
• Prepare classroom for close of school.
• Maintain communication with teacher and staff.
• Work with groups inside and outside the classroom.
• Assess abilities and collect academic/behavioral data.
