Job summary

Waystar is seeking a Software Engineer in the Patient Payments group to design, build, test, and maintain full stack solutions. You will collaborate with product managers and UX designers to transform requirements into scalable features, participate in code reviews, and help drive architectural improvements.

A focus on quality, modern technologies, and mentoring junior engineers is expected. The role emphasizes delivery across the full SDLC within a fast-paced, enterprise health care payments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in CS or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of professional full stack web development experience.
• Proficiency with PHP and Vue.js stack.
• Experience with MySQL and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust and scalable software solutions across the full software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to meet requirements and deliver features.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects and production issues promptly.
• Document designs, architectural decisions, and operational procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
