Job summary

Catholic Charities Community Services seeks a Licensing/Adoption Specialist (PT) in Phoenix to strengthen children and foster families by moving children toward permanency through adoption while preserving connections to family and community.

The role includes licensing foster homes, certifying adoptive families, and completing case management, assessments, and home studies in collaboration with community partners and government agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in social work or related field with at least one year of experience in child welfare or relevant field.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least three years of education/experience for licensing/certification services.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive case management to foster/adoptive families and monitor their progress.
• Conduct home studies and assessments to support adoption processes and court recommendations.
• Maintain case records and ensure timely documentation and reporting to contract requirements.
• Coordinate with DCS case managers and birth families to facilitate smooth transitions.
• Attend team meetings and prepare licensure/certification renewal reports.
