Job summary

MCHS Family of Services is seeking a Foster Care Case Manager to advocate for children and families, coordinating with state and courts to place children in placement and prepare for reunification or permanent plans. The incumbent will work in office and client homes to support safety and well-being.

The role involves assessing case plans, writing reports, appearing in court, and coordinating services for children, birth families, and foster parents while adhering to DHHS timelines and agency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field with 25% credits in human behavioral sciences and 1–3 years of social services experience.
• MSW with foster care experience preferred.
• CWTI training preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows, MS Office, and Internet applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee child and family well-being; provide casework and referrals.
• Develop case plans, write reports, and maintain records per policies.
• Appear in court and testify on case progress; attend hearings.
• Coordinate services with agency and DHHS timelines.
• Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality.
