Acelero Learning is seeking a Floater Assistant Teacher to join our Head Start programs. You will collaborate with the Teacher and a team of aides to deliver a responsive, inclusive curriculum for children aged 0-5, focusing on readiness skills and social development.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, CDA or progress toward a degree, and prior experience with young children. A background check and physical exam are required, with a pay rate of $17.88 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CDA or enrolled to complete within 2 years, or a degree in any field.
• Prior experience with children 0-5 years.
• Physical exam and background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Works with Teacher to ensure successful operation of a Head Start classroom.
• Maintains a child-centered environment that encourages social interaction and learning.
• Plans and implements learning experiences to develop literacy, numeracy, language, and problem-solving skills.
• Observes and documents progress to individualize curriculum.
• Engages families and supports home involvement in the program.
