Job summary

The City of Boston seeks a Financial Coach/Career Specialist to help clients create action plans toward financial stability and improved employability. You will manage one-on-one coaching, budget development, credit-building guidance, and documentation in Salesforce within a team environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 3+ years of work experience preferred.
Experience in financial and/or employment coaching or related field.
Knowledge of credit, debt, and money management; savings and non-predatory financial products.

Responsibilities

Articulate the mission, objectives, and programs to clients and partners.
Conduct one-on-one financial coaching and build long-term client relationships.
Develop budgets, review credit reports, and plan strategies to improve net worth.
Document client outcomes in Salesforce and manage CFA updates.
Assist in recruitment, outreach, and retention strategies for coaching participants.
Provide workshops on budgeting, saving, banking products, credit building, and identity theft.
