Job summary

Thompson Child & Family Focus - A Child's Place Program in Florida seeks a Family Support Worker to transport youth to placements, schools, and visits, and to supervise parent visits. The role includes crisis de-escalation and ongoing client engagement in person and on-call shifts.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (A.A. preferred), at least 1 year in human services, strong communication, and a reliable vehicle with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; A.A. preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience (human services or childcare experience preferred).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must have reliable vehicle/transportation.
• A valid driver’s license with at least 3 years driving and a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation of youth to/from out-of-home care placements, to/from school, and to/from visits.
• Supervise parent visits and manage crisis/de-escalation as needed.
• Drive as part of daily duties; on-call nights and weekends may be required.
