State of Indiana – Department Of Child Services is hiring a Family Case Manager in Huntington, IN to protect children from abuse and neglect, support families, pursue permanency, and coordinate reunification or adoption when appropriate.

Responsibilities include investigating alleged abuse, assessing risk, developing case plans, documenting progress, and coordinating services across providers while maintaining case files and reports for court and community teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in human services.
• 5+ years of human services experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Completion of 30 college credit hours with 4 years of relevant experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Investigate reported incidents of child abuse or neglect and determine substantiation.
• Assess risk to the child and determine if removal is warranted.
• Develop and monitor case plans to promote family self-sufficiency and permanency.
• Prepare reports and briefs for court or community teams; support reunification/adoption efforts.
• Visit placements and coordinate with adoption teams; maintain case files and data trends.
