Job summary

Cobb County School District is seeking a Teacher, ESOL/IEL to provide targeted instruction for English language learners in the elementary setting. The role requires ESOL certification and a focus on language development and standards-aligned instruction.

The incumbent will collaborate with regular education teachers, communicate with parents, and maintain essential records while participating in ongoing professional development within the Leadership division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the United States or an equivalent credential recognized as such.
• Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in ESOL or ESOL endorsement with appropriate content certification.
• Experience: None.
• Written and oral communication in English at Advanced level or ILR Level 2 or equivalent.
• Ability to implement ESOL curriculum, standards, and effective classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Provide ESOL/IEL instruction to identified students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support English language learners.
• Maintain required records and participate in professional development.
• Communicate with parents regarding students' English language services.
• Ensure timely and accurate progress monitoring of ELL/ELL-M students.
