NORTH CLAYTON HIGH in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking an ESOL Teacher to instruct English learners across elementary to high school levels. The role involves screening, testing, monitoring, recording, and reporting EL progress using district-approved models and SIOP guidelines.

Reports to the Principal and collaborates with general education staff. Responsibilities include assessing progress, preparing EL documents, and engaging in parent/teacher conferences to review accommodations and student

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or higher is required.
• GaPSC certificate with ESOL P-12 or ESOL Endorsement is required.
• Alternative option enrollment in GaPSC approved ESOL Endorsement Program or passing P-12 ESOL scores is required at the time of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Teach, screen, test, monitor, record and report EL progress.
• Instruct ELs at elementary, middle and high school levels using language acquisition strategies.
• Prepare course outlines aligned to WIDA Standards and Georgia standards; monitor EL progress and share results.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and provide instructional resources to enhance teaching and learning.
• Conduct parent/teacher conferences to review accommodations and progress.
• Facilitate EL professional learning and participate in school events to promote EL engagement.

Educación

Bachelor's degree or higher

Georgia Educator's Certificate ESOL P-12 Certification or ESOL Endorsement

GaPSC approved ESOL Endorsement Program or P-12 ESOL scores at employment
