HDR is seeking an Environmental Planner I in Colorado to support utility projects with environmental compliance, permitting, and local planning approvals. The role emphasizes construction stormwater permitting and compliance, with additional duties in land use, development and right-of-way permitting.

The candidate will work with an experienced team of environmental scientists, planners and project managers across HDR’s Denver/Colorado network, coordinating with agencies and HDR staff to ensure

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Resources or Planning.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with client and permitting approval agencies on HDR projects.
• Direct internal resources (CAD/GIS, wildlife biologists, land agents, public outreach).
• Coordinate/attend field visits and communicate project scope and permit conditions.
• Oversee deliverable production and file management per client specs.
• Develop figures and map sets with GIS/CAD staff; lead permit document production.
• Lead erosion control and grading permit document production.
