Job summary

The Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority is seeking an Eligibility Specialist to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. You will perform initial program eligibility interviews, gather data, and prepare cases for HUD-regulated housing programs including Conventional Public Housing, HCV, and PBV.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of clerical/administrative experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of office/clerical/administrative experience preferred.
• Preference for public sector, social services, or housing authority experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact for housing program applicants.
• Complete files for various housing programs and communicate status in writing.
• Assist applicants with the application process and ensure documents are complete.
• Review applications for eligibility and maintain accurate client records.
• Conduct intake interviews, verify income/assets/credit history and EIV reports.
• Establish and manage an assigned caseload and follow up as needed.
