Job summary

Mount Vernon School District 320 Washington Elementary – Mount Vernon, WA seeks a Paraeducator for Special Education Resource Room (Elementary). Immediate start; 180‑day year; 5.75 hours/day; benefits eligibility for SEBB medical/dental/vision and more.

Responsibilities include IEP transition support, collaboration with the building staff and secretaries, and data management. Requires AA degree or higher, readiness to learn Skyward, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• AA degree or higher, or two years of college (72 quarter credits)
• Ability to meet state performance standards in reading, math and writing
• Experience with high school age students; special needs experience preferred
• Bilingual/bicultural preferred
• Knowledge of Google applications; willingness to learn Skyward and other student data/IEP systems
• Good oral and written communication; ability to maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• IEP Transition Support: plan and anticipate monthly transitions
• Prepare assessments and conduct transition IEP interviews
• Assist in gathering information for IEP and re-evaluation meetings
• Assist with IEP online student evaluations and program documentation
• Perform other duties as assigned
