Job summary

PPG in Sylmar, California, is seeking an EHS Manager to lead Environmental Health and Safety programs for the Aerospace Transparencies business.

You will develop and implement EHS management systems, drive incident investigations, and partner with site leadership to sustain a strong safety culture.

The role requires regulatory knowledge, a minimum of 5+ years in manufacturing, and a strong leadership style, with potential for an annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Safety Sciences, Occupational Health, Environmental Management or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing EHS experience.
• GSP or CSP designation is a plus.
• Proven leadership balancing strategic initiatives with daily operations.
• Strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building across the organization.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Guide site management in EHS goals to drive continuous improvement.
• Engage on the production floor to promote a One PPG EHS culture.
• Coordinate incident management and lead root cause analyses.
• Advise on EHS regulations and prepare regulatory reports.
• Lead safety initiatives including JSA, risk assessments, and MOC.
• Conduct environmental, health, and safety program reviews and audits.
