Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and provide learning experiences within assigned areas.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for students.
• Guide learning toward district curriculum goals.
• Employ varied instructional techniques and media.
• Assess student progress and communicate with parents.
• Identify special needs and seek assistance as needed.
• Modify curricula with special education staff per IEP guidelines.
• Develop and enforce a student behavior plan.
• Maintain accurate records as required by policy and law.
• Ensure safety of students and property.
• Be available to students and parents by appointment.
• Plan and supervise teacher aides and student teachers; provide written evaluations.
• Engage in district professional growth and teacher evaluation.
• Attend campus and district meetings and activities.
