• Bachelor's Degree with state certification for the assigned subject and grade
• Ability to instruct students and manage behavior
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of diverse learning styles and instructional strategies
• Commitment to planning and assessment to monitor progress

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and provide appropriate learning experiences within the assigned area(s) of responsibility
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students' maturity and interests
• Guide learning toward district curriculum goals
• Employ varied instructional techniques and media suitable for students and location
• Assess student progress, provide reports, and communicate with parents as needed
• Identify special needs and seek assistance as required
• Coordinate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs
• Develop student behavior plans aligned with policies
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and policy
• Ensure safety of students and property
• Be available to students daily and to parents by appointment
• Supervise teacher aides and student teachers; provide evaluations
• Pursue ongoing professional growth and participate in teacher evaluation process
• Attend campus and district meetings to promote communication and collaboration
• Attend school activities as agreed by principal and staff
• Perform other duties as assigned
