Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or Communications.
• Three (3) years of experience working for a dropout prevention and/or post-secondary opportunity program or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience with Federal TRIO programs (UB, UBMS, ETS) or other dropout prevention/post-secondary programs.
• Experience working with nonprofit community agencies in outreach and post-secondary opportunities.
• Experience working with high school students and parents.
• Experience coordinating and conducting student/parent presentations, workshops, and activities for low-income first-generation college students.

Responsibilities

• Select and deliver services to eligible participants from target secondary schools.
• Work with parents and school officials to reduce dropout rates and boost post-secondary enrollment.
• Provide outreach and case management information services to students.
• Provide direct services such as career exploration, study skills improvement, and college admissions information.
• Maintain and enter student records and forms.
• Assist with documentation for governmental agencies and grant proposals.
