Job summary

Kean University is seeking adjunct faculty in the Department of Early Childhood Education to teach undergraduate courses in-person at the Union campus. Courses may include a Clinical Experience with school visits and require knowledge of NAEYC standards and New Jersey standards.

Master's degree and teaching experience are required; candidates with ABD/Ed.D./Ph.D. are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in a Learning Management System is required, with morning and evening availability preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field and teaching experience are required unless otherwise indicated.
• ABD, Ed.D., Ph.D. or other acceptable disciplinary doctorate are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in a Learning Management System is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate Early Childhood Education courses in-person at the Union campus.
• Cover areas such as Child Development, content areas in the ECE curriculum, DAP, assessment, family–teacher partnerships, and professionalism.
• Possibly include a Clinical Experience component with school visits.
• Maintain availability outside class time; morning and evening availability preferred.
• Know and apply NAEYC Professional Standards and New Jersey standards.
