Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree from an accredited institution.
  • License in the area of Special Education.
  • Three or more years experience as an EC teacher (preferred).
  • Specialized training in compliance, regulations, and special education law.
  • Writing and speaking skills.
  • Understanding of instructional implications of test data.
  • Exemplary leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as contact person regarding EC referrals/issues.
  • Complete EC data management and entry following IEP meetings.
  • Monitor referrals, ensure 90-day timeline adherence.
  • Coordinate with related service personnel and EC staff.
  • Schedule and facilitate IEP meetings and related processes.
  • Ensure IEP documentation is complete and compliant.
  • Coordinate transitions and transportation as needed.
  • Maintain EC data forms and roster accuracy.
  • Provide staff development on EC procedures and guidelines.
  • Communicate parent rights and mediate concerns.
