Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest seeks an Early Childhood Educator in West Mesa, Phoenix for part-time hours (4–5 hours daily Tue–Sat with one evening until 7:15 PM). You will engage birth to 5-year-old children with developmentally appropriate activities, while parents participate in education and support services.

Under the Early Childhood Coordinator, you plan programming, maintain attendance, assist with materials, and help with daily operations of the Family Resource Center.

Qualifications

• Develop age-appropriate activities for birth to 5 years old.
• Support positive parent-child interactions and parent participation.
• Maintain accurate attendance and participant information.
• Enter data and maintain program records accurately per requirements.
• Assist with preparing, organizing, and storing materials for activities.
• Support setup/cleanup and maintain an organized learning space.

Responsibilities

• Provide developmentally appropriate activities and supervision for children.
• Create a safe, welcoming environment that supports healthy child development.
• Maintain attendance records and participant information for families.
• Ensure timely and accurate data entry and compliance with program requirements.
• Assist with preparing materials and organizing activities.
• Support set-up/clean-up and maintain an organized learning space.
