Southwest Human Development in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Family Support Specialist to provide family development and social services to enrolled children from birth to five and their families in Early Head Start/Head Start programs. You will partner with parents to strengthen the caregivers’ role as primary nurturer and integrate services across health, nutrition, and family services.

• 1 year(s) direct experience working with infants and toddlers and their families.
• AA / bachelor’s degree in Family Development, Social Services, Human Services, Early Childhood Education or related field
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsabilidades

• Create and maintain respectful partnerships with families. Deliver health, educational, nutritional and child growth and development information to parents.
• Coordinate with parents to ensure that prenatal, well-child exams, immunizations, health screenings, and nutrition assessments are complete and necessarily follow up occurs.
• Complete family partnership agreements, developmental screenings, and all other required assessments with families in a timely manner.
• Assist and support families in locating resources and scheduling appointments with community resources that best meets their needs.
• Provide support in parent and child activities that encourage developmentally appropriate activities for the changing needs of infants and toddlers.

Associates or better in Family and Human Development or related field

Bachelors or better in Family and Human Development or related field

Masters or better in Family and Human Development or related field
