Job summary

Downers Grove School District 58 is seeking an Instructional Assistant for the Developmental Learning Program (DLP). The role supports individualized instruction, prepares materials, and assists with interventions under teacher guidance.

Responsibilities include supervising learning groups, communicating progress, and assisting with discipline and classroom management. Working hours are Monday–Friday in the specified schedule; compensation includes $18.06 per hour and a $2,000 annual stipend

Qualifications

• Carries out teacher's plan for instruction for individual students and/or group work.
• Alerts teacher to problems or information about an individual student.
• Implements strategies designed and assigned by teachers to meet individual differences.
• Prepares materials for sessions under teacher guidance.
• Works with individuals/small groups to reinforce and expand skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports interventions, accommodations, and modifications for student success.
• Supervises learning groups with teacher's direction.
• Communicates progress and concerns to teachers.
• Reviews assignments, monitors testing and makeup work, organizes classwork.
