Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from ABA-accredited law school.
- DDA II: Advanced competency in misdemeanor and traffic jury trial processes.
- DDA III: Advanced competency in felony jury trial processes and major cases.
- Must be licensed to practice law in Colorado and maintain licensure.
Responsibilities
- Review criminal files, police reports, evidence, and victim input to determine appropriate plea offers.
- Conduct plea negotiations with defendants and defense counsel.
- Prepare for and manage court dockets and complete tasks from prior court hearings.
- Coordinate with staff, law enforcement, victims, and investigators to ensure docket accuracy.
- Draft legal pleadings, motions, and briefs for successful prosecution.
- Prepare for and conduct court and jury trials, including witness preparation and exhibits.
- Ensure compliance with Victims' Rights mandates and case law updates.
