Job summary

Deloitte GPS is seeking a Core Analytics & Insights Engineer II in Washington, D.C. to empower data-driven decisions across client programs. You will build dashboards and reports, translate questions into insights, and collaborate with stakeholders.

You’ll work with Power BI, Excel, Databricks, Palantir Foundry, and data modeling to deliver reliable analytics. The role is hybrid, with a focus on scalable data infrastructure for government clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and legal to work in the United States
• Must obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust clearance
• Hybrid schedule—onsite in Washington, D.C. 3–4 days per week
• 2+ years in data analysis, modeling, management, visualization, and automation
• 2+ years creating dashboards and reports
• 2+ years with Excel and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• 2+ years of experience with SQL, Python, or similar
• 2+ years of experience with Databricks or similar cloud data platforms
• 2+ years supporting ETL, data integration, or data management infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Develop dashboards, reports, and analytics products using Power BI, Excel, and BI tools.
• Translate executive questions into actionable data insights.
• Prepare, integrate, analyze, and visualize data with Databricks and Palantir Foundry.
• Design data management infrastructure for scalable analytics.
• Automate ETL processes to streamline data prep and reporting.
• Apply data modeling to create efficient reporting data structures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose analytics.
• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Document data sources, transformations, and reporting processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and data-driven decision making.
