Genesee Mobile Crisis Services (GMCS) seeks LBSW or LLBSW to provide immediate in-person crisis support in Flint, MI. You will assess needs, de‑escalate crises, and connect clients to resources and services, ensuring safety and well-being.

Training and supervisory guidance are available within a supportive team environment. Role includes 1pm–11pm shifts (various openings), base pay with licensure-based ranges, plus shift differential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a human service field.
• Professional licensure in the State of Michigan (LLBSW or LBSW).
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Minimum of one year experience with mental health, substance use and/or developmental disabilities.
• Experience in crisis intervention or emergency mental health services.
• Experience with a broad age range and disabilities, including children.
• Experience with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorder.
• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, crisis assessment, and intervention techniques.
• Preferred: QMHP/CMHP or QIDP criteria; CADC within 30 days.

Responsabilités

• Assess crisis situation and the person/family’s needs.
• Provide active crisis intervention that is welcoming, trauma-informed, brief, and solution-focused.
• Provide referrals, arrange psychiatric evaluations, and facilitate hospitalization authorization when necessary.
• Coordinate inter- and intra-agency services and transitions to appropriate aftercare.
• Advocate for the needs and rights of every person/family with service providers.
