Job summary

Amity Foundation, an internationally acclaimed Teaching, and Therapeutic Community, seeks compassionate individuals to join our community as Counselor II/III. This role supports prison and re-entry programs, delivering rehabilitative services and enhancing professional training within the ISUDTP.

The Counselor II/III is responsible for face-to-face programming, delivering evidence-based curricula, documenting progress, and collaborating with CDCR staff to ensure participant success.

Qualifications

• Certified as an AOD Counselor.
• Counselor III requires 1 year of full-time experience providing certified AOD counseling services.
• Must be certified to be considered (CAADE, BBS, CADTP, CCAPP).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI classes using evidence-based curriculum for participants.
• Conduct class and individual sessions to develop release prevention/action plans.
• Evaluate and document participants' progress.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms and expectations.
• Work collaboratively with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters and local staff.
• Other related duties as assigned.
