Job summary

Talented-Medical-Solutions in Sidney, Iowa seeks a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a permanent full-time position, Monday–Friday with no weekend rotation.

You will work with an interdisciplinary care team to help patients improve independence in daily activities and functional tasks under the supervision of a licensed OT.

New graduates are welcome; compensation will reflect experience, with a competitive hourly rate of $26.11–$27.84 and a 30-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Appropriate Iowa licensure or eligibility for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Assist patients with improving independence in activities of daily living and functional tasks.
• Lead therapeutic activities designed to improve strength, coordination, mobility, balance, and functional performance.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to the supervising OT and care team.
• Document treatments, patient responses, and progress accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, adaptive strategies, and safety.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and encouraging treatment environment.
• Follow all applicable clinical standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
