Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Jail Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
• First Aid, A.E.D. and CPR Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective and efficient inmate care during assigned shift and pod location.
• Respond to and intervene in emergencies within the facility (distress, medical issues, disturbances).
• Use proper force only when justified to control non-compliant inmates.
• Perform searches to prevent contraband and maintain security.
• Gather evidence, take crime scene photos, and record statements for investigations.
• Administer first aid and secure medical assistance for inmates when required.
• Oversee inmate movement, meals, and distribution of supplies.
• Maintain discipline and supervise inmate work details; inspect living quarters and equipment.
