The role emphasizes patient care, safety, and collaboration with correctional officers and medical staff. A valid FL RN license and BLS CPR are required, with flexibility for overtime and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in FL.
• Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (AHA).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Flexible schedule and availability to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial health screenings and physical assessments for detainees.
• Monitor and document patient health including vital signs and histories.
• Provide direct patient care, triage, assess needs, develop care plans, and coordinate services.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, hypertension, diabetes).
• Respond to medical emergencies and ensure timely transport to healthcare facilities.
• Educate patients on preventative care and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Adhere to correctional facility security protocols while collaborating with officers and healthcare staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records and report relevant information.
