NaphCare, Inc. is seeking an experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team at the W. C. Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore, Alabama.

The role requires clinical expertise in mental health care within a correctional setting, performing evaluations, counseling, and program development. Active licensure (LCSW/LCMHC/LMFT/LMHP/LISW, etc.) and a minimum of 3 years' experience are preferred. Strong communication, confidentiality, and adherence to ACA/NCCHC standards are essential for

Qualifications

• Master's prepared Mental Health Professional with active, unrestricted licensure in STATE (LCSW/LCMHC/LMFT/LMHP/LISW)
• Active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screen
• 3+ years clinical experience in mental health care, correctional experience preferred
• Knowledge of DSM-V/DSM-V-TR criteria
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies and legal requirements

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat residents with mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders
• Document and manage patient progress notes and treatment plans
• Provide individual and group counseling and educational programs
• Develop and implement discharge planning and behavioral change strategies
• Collaborate with correctional officers and healthcare staff
• Ensure compliance with ACA and NCCHC standards
