Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is hiring an educator at the Gadsden Correctional Facility in Quincy, FL. This full-time role involves delivering instruction to inmates, adhering to ACA and state directives, and focusing on competency-based outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Florida teaching certificate, with 2 years of teaching experience preferred. A valid FL driver’s license is required unless waived by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; two years teaching experience preferred.
• Valid teaching certificate from Florida Department of Education or comparable authority required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized competency-based instruction in classroom and laboratory settings.
• Develop performance objectives and tests aligned to program content.
• Select and adapt instructional materials to help inmates master competencies.
• Plan activities to initiate budget requests for equipment and supplies.
• Monitor motivation, discipline and learning progress of inmates.
• Evaluate and maintain records of inmate progress toward objectives.
• Adhere to facility procedures and complete required forms.
• Promote positive social skills and intervene when behavior is inappropriate.
