Job summary

NaphCare hires a Full Time Day Shift Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical team in Jacksonville, Florida, serving individuals in the detention facility. You will perform assessments, manage meds, and respond to emergencies in a controlled correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse within Florida.
• Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (AHA required).
• Knowledge of nursing practice principles and safety standards.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Performing initial health screenings and physical assessments of newly detained individuals.
• Monitoring and documenting patient health including vital signs, medical histories.
• Providing direct patient care, triaging, assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and coordinating services.
• Managing acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, and diabetes.
• Responding to medical emergencies, providing first aid, and ensuring timely transport to appropriate healthcare facilities.
• Educating patients on preventative care, healthy lifestyle choices, and substance abuse prevention.
• Understanding and adhering to correctional facility safety protocols and reporting pertinent information.
• Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment plans.
