Job summary

NaphCare is hiring a Full Time Day Shift Correctional Registered Nurse in Jacksonville, Florida, to support the intake department at the Jacksonville Pre-Trial Detention Facility. You will work with correctional staff to deliver care, perform assessments, and manage chronic conditions in a controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Florida RN license.
• Active BLS CPR Certification (AHA).
• Knowledge of nursing principles, safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Must pass the facility’s background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Performing initial health screenings and physical assessments of newly detained individuals.
• Monitoring and documenting patient health including vital signs, medical histories.
• Providing direct patient care, triaging, assessing patient needs, developing care plans.
• Managing acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, and diabetes.
• Responding to medical emergencies, ensuring timely transport to facilities.
• Educating patients on preventative care and healthy lifestyle choices.
