Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Construction Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to support active projects under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers.

The role provides hands-on experience in construction logistics, temporary works design, means and methods development, crane planning, and on-site observations. It is an entry-level internship requiring enrollment in an ABET-accredited engineering program and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• This is an entry level position where no previous experience is required.
• Currently enrolled in an ABET-Accredited College Engineering Program
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural engineering analysis and design of temporary and permanent works
• Support structural analysis of permanent structures during the construction phase
• Contribute to evaluating construction sequence proposals
• Prepare sketches and markups to help communicate design concepts to clients and contractors
• Assist in the preparation of project deliverables, including reports, permit applications, drawings and specifications, cost estimates, field data collection, shop drawing reviews, calculations, material testing, and BIM/CADD work
• Participate in basic survey tasks and observe construction activities
• Incorporate feedback from Project and Technical Managers into work products
• Complete assigned tasks within established schedules and budgets while developing professional skills

ABET-Accredited College Engineering Program

3.0 GPA or higher
