Arellano Associates, Inc. in Los Angeles (Glendale office) seeks a Principal Community Relations Officer for the NoHo to Pasadena BRT Project.

This full-time role acts as the primary link between Metro, the community and stakeholders to foster trust and durable relationships during outreach, mitigation and information dissemination. The position requires strong written and spoken communication, stakeholder engagement, and program coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in communications, journalism, English, marketing, or related field.
• Five years of relevant community relations experience; some roles may require specialized experience.
• Ability to work weekends, early mornings and evenings.
• Must be able to drive to Metro project offices in North Hollywood to Pasadena area.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-level liaison work between external stakeholders (elected officials, businesses, community groups) and Metro.
• Leads planning and management of construction mitigation program efforts and other special projects.
• Plans and implements outreach to promote programs to prospective business participants and communities.
• Confers with Metro staff, stakeholders, and contractors to resolve conflicting opinions and reach mutually acceptable solutions.
• Researches incidents and concerns and interfaces with contractors to resolve issues.
• Recommends strategies to support Metro’s goals and communicates them to management and officials.
• Prepares presentations for management, public officials, and community groups.
