UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support our Commercial P&C underwriting team with administrative and technical duties. You will help process submissions, prepare quotes, binders, policies, and endorsements, and maintain organized underwriting records.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or equivalent experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment are

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with commitment to client service.

Responsibilities

• Submission management: receive, log, and organize submissions from brokers and agents.
• Tracking & reporting: input and maintain data in SharePoint, Excel, and other systems.
• Policy processing: assist in preparation, issuance, and delivery of quotes, binders, policies, endorsements.
• Communication: liaise with brokers, agents, and internal departments to gather information.
• Document management: maintain organized underwriting files and correspondence.
• Compliance & quality control: review documents for completeness and accuracy per guidelines.
• Reporting: generate Excel reports and summaries for underwriters and management as needed.
• Team collaboration: provide general administrative support and participate in other projects.
