Job summary

Alpas Wellness Centers in Sterling, VA seeks a Clinical Therapist to plan and coordinate medically approved treatment plans for patients seeking in-patient substance use disorder care. The role focuses on co-occurring disorders and evidence-based, person-centered practices.

Qualifications

Must have VA counseling license or credential allowing independent practice in drug and alcohol counseling.
Minimum 2 years post-licensure experience treating SA, MH, and co-occurring disorders.
Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Evaluate clients’ mental health, addiction status, and readiness for treatment.
Facilitate daily group therapy sessions.
Complete clinical notes on the same day of service.
Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate with medical/psychiatric teams.
Review treatment options with patients and families.
Assist with case management and referrals as needed.
