Qualifications

• Degree in clinical laboratory science/medical technology or equivalent as described in the education section.
• Successful completion of an NAACLS-accredited MLS/CLS program or equivalent.
• Eligibility for federal appointment and compliance with background checks as outlined by IHS.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory testing in chemistry, microbiology, hematology, molecular diagnostics, immunology, and immunohematology.
• Interpret/test results, troubleshoot discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to ensure accuracy.
• Collect and evaluate patient specimens with proper handling and documentation.
• Maintain quality control, proficiency testing, calibration, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
