Job summary

Bay Haven Charter Academy is seeking a dedicated teacher to provide students with engaging learning activities and experiences designed to support their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.

Under the supervision of the Principal, the teacher develops plans, accommodates individual needs, collaborates on IEPs, and administers assessments, while building strong lines of communication with families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education is required.
• Current Florida teaching certificate is required.
• 2+ years of instructional or classroom experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements curriculum plans for assigned program.
• Prepares lessons with accommodations for individual differences.
• Uses instructional strategies and materials to meet student needs.
• Collaborates with special education teachers for IEPs.
• Assesses student achievement through formal and informal testing.
• Maintains open communication with students and parents.
• Upholds policies and participates in meetings and committees.
