Job summary

Bay Haven Charter Academy seeks a dedicated Paraprofessional to support instructional staff in the classroom. Under the principal supervision, you will help prepare materials, assist students individually or in small groups, and reinforce learning objectives.

You will help maintain an organized classroom, assist with IEP objectives, manage behavior, and support the educational program while upholding confidentiality and compliance with school policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior paraprofessional experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of state and federal laws that apply to the duties of this position.
• Ability to analyze information and make recommendations to management.

Responsibilities

• Assist instructional personnel with the development and presentation of learning materials and exercises.
• Work with students individually or in small groups as directed by the supervising teacher.
• Provide input in selecting activities appropriate to student needs and interests.
• Maintain an organized, functional classroom environment with displays and materials.
• Assist in complying with IEP requirements and objectives.
