Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Certified by the State of Alabama in the appropriate area.
• Must meet highly qualified status as determined by Alabama State Department of Education.
• Must meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama statutes and State Board of Education regulations.

Responsibilities

• Understands and upholds school rules, administrative regulations, and Board of Education policies.
• Participates in the efficient and effective operation of the school and school system.
• Abides by the Code of Ethics for teachers.
• Plans instruction aligned with approved curriculum and materials.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law, board policy, and administrative regulation.
• Evaluates student progress regularly and follows established procedures.
• Maintains a professional relationship with parents and the community.
• Participates in faculty meetings and school activities.
