Job summary

• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the academic subject area assigned.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain AED/CPR certification for Physical Education positions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with district curriculum and accommodate individual student differences.
• Plan and use instructional strategies, materials, and technology per TEA guidelines.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal methods.
• Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and manage student behavior.
• Establish professional communication with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
• Participate in staff development and district meetings; adhere to policies and procedures.
