Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher from an accredited college; sixty hours of college credit or pass Work-Keys test as determined by the Mississippi Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Direct activities to free the supervising teacher for instruction.
• Meet and instruct assigned classes at the assigned school as designated by the teacher/principal.
• Participate in daily and long-range lesson planning.
• Guide small groups in independent study, enrichment, and remedial work.
• Maintain orderly desks, books, papers, and materials in the classroom.
• Assist with recording and maintaining individual student records.
• Assist with supervision during regular play periods and testing as assigned.
